Does anyone want to give this a go again?

If there's some topic, relating to philosophy, you have an ardent desire to discuss, post about it here and we can have a vote if more than one is suggested. I'm going to ask you to be pretty specific about these topics, though - it's not very helpful stating very broad topics such as "Plato" or "the enlightenment". If you have a rough idea of a topic you're interested in, you could do a little background reading to come up with a more precise suggestion. Or maybe people could suggest articles from on-line magazines they think would make for good discussion. I've found a few on-line magazines as starting points - no doubt, there are many more.

    The Philosophers' Magazine

    Philosophy Now

It's best to look for a fairly challenging article that's accessible to anyone who puts in a bit of effort rather than some watered-down clichés or a piece requiring a lot of specialist knowledge.

Any other suggestions as to how to go about this are welcome!

*POTM stands for philosophy topic of the month.

OK, No more POTM! If people want to discuss a topic or whatever, they can do so without it being given an "official" title!

One suggestion for a topic of discussion was given but I think it would be better to start a discussion on it rather than wait for more suggestions and messing around with votes and so on. See here for a thread about social constructivism.

    RIP POTM:)
