Wireless on FeatherLinux

    Hey,
Just got the FeatherLinux ISO and I'm trying the live version but I was wondering what the story with wireless cards was...

I don't use wireless at home but I was going to look into it, but I use wireless a lot in college and I'm just switching over to Linux cos my laptop's too slow for XP (64mb RAM)...

Anyway I wanted to know if there's any way of getting my wireless card installed on FeatherLinux.

I don't have the CD or the manual or anything, best I can do is a scan of the card here.

It's one that was around for cheap in Maplins for a while but I can't find any site for the company who made it online apart from some Israeli site I can't understand a word of.

Anyways, if anyone's had any experience with this card or similar ones in Linux any help would be appreciated

    Cheers

use a knoppix 3.6 or 3.7 CD to see if/what the card is detected as..

check the MAC / FCC ID (can someone post a link to the search dB) to lookup the chipset and then try to track down the driver.

MAC address 0006f4 is allocated to Prime Electronics & Satellitics Inc.

Looking at the FCC ID, it appears to be model WP288P

A FreeBSD discussion here indicates it uses the AMD wireless LAN chipset Am1772. The writer seems to be attempting to set up the Windows 9x drivers with something like ndiswrapper

There is a Brazilian driver for Am1771/72 but I don't know if it would work with your card.

No definite answer there I'm afraid.
