    Hey everyone,

You get to see me (Blue Rashguard)

get thrown by Judo Mick of SBG Harold's Cross.

Not as sore as it looks. :)

lovely throw by "mick", did you end up losing that fight columok? are those kicks to the legs you see people falling over from sore?

Sore enough to make them fall over!

Mick has a habit (I discovered on the day) of letting wrestlers get double underhooks on him and then judu slamming them. :D He's a judo coach in Celbridge as far as I know and trains BJJ with JK in Harolds cross. Got a bronze medal in the European BJJ Champs.

I got my guard back but had trouble closing it as he has an excellent topgame from all those years of JUDU! :) I think I went for an omoplata on his left arm and he passed my guard. I went to turtle (exactly what he wanted) and he caught me in a lovely anaconda choke. Very slick.

really, so they're not falling over becuase the kick kinda turns into a hook and trips them, well, hooks them

Yeah not a good idea to go to Turtle against a judoka, unless you can get out of there quickly!

does this go on the shoulder or elbow...both?

In the first leg kick clip, Chris (the guy who fell) was hurt, you can see it on his face. The second one had more to do with Owen Roddy kicking the legs clean out from under the guy, I imagine it did hurt but not as much as if he had his weight on the leg when it was hit.

In general with all the padding we force people to wear the leg kicks are no big deal.
