I suppose it means no more Mac Enroe-esque fights about whether or not the ball was out.

Hmmm....when chasing back, do you keep your eye on the ball, or the edge?

I wouldn't like to be a ball boy.

this looks very CG to me.
There doesnt appear to be any nets / barriers around, so you'd need a heck of a lot of balls (that dont appear to be seen?).
The edge of the green to tarmac also looks fake.
And why would they bother since the hotel has lots of indoor courts anyway?

you'd want to be careful when having long rallys too, the baselines are practically at the edge..

still 10/10 for economy of space :D

Tiger Wodds hit a few drives off it last year before the malaysian open.Seems to be the only place to publicise anything in Kuala Lumpur.

doh... yeah, it could be real just for a quick PR stunt for the cameras like the above.
I doubt its used for pro players for actual play.

I wonder if they'll publicise the F1 here... "and Montoya forces Shuey of the track...."

Think it's actually at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. Supposedly the only 7* hotel in the world!

Its actually real....its the world's highest tennis court in Dubai (i think), i just read an article on it

It looks like a heli pad that was made into a tennis court for publicity. I did a project on the hotel last year and its definately not used for tennis, unless they don't mind the odd break in play to let visiting millionaires land :)

I'd love to see 2 people fight to the death up there, just like in the computer games.

There was a pretty good documentary on Discovery about this hotel. It's freakin' mad! The stuff they have there. The hotel has become part of the countries culture, not least for it's astonishing architecture. The country's license plates have a silouette of the hotel on them.
