    Why not go for these

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14985&item=7302552888&rd=1

I know its off ebay, but that is a great price for these headphones which are the baby brother of the best dj headphones you can get, the sp25's. Well worht a look if your spending that much.

depends what you listen to, the RV700s are kick ass in anything what requires brute power.
they were originally designed for DJs.
the HiFi quality is really good on them, have a pair myself at home

are the sony ones closed cup?
I'm leaning towards the stantons at the moment. Any reason why I shouldn't get them? I.e. anything bad about them

    get these

    http://www.thedjshop.co.uk/products.asp?id=701

only a few quid more, fantastic sound and every part is replacable (not that they'll break) so they last forever, wouldn't disappoint

edit:just like Fattony said, go for the ebay ones

    Joe,
thanks for the info, now I don't know which ones to go for!
Those hd25sp phones don't look as sweet, but they seem to pack a better punch for sound quality. I won't be doing any mixing or anything like that, I just want to get great sound quality when listening to tunes, without going OTT on the price. My old phones are on the way out, and look like the cheap ass crap that they are, so I'm also hoping to get something that looks the part (I'm so shallow). I will have to have a harder think about this!

I'm seriously considering it now, FatTony. The guy I was talking to from the shop is off today and will be back in tomorrow. So I'll have a chat with him and see if he can "make me an offer", but I doubt that he can beat any price on ebay
