Hi all.... Wondering does anyone know where i can get a robust wireless access point that is designed for attachment to suspended ceiling. Will need 30 of them.. Have tried all the main manufacturers and they have wall mounted but not necessarily ceiling mounted.. It has to blend into office surroundings...

    Regards

How about using whatever access point takes your fancy and putting it above the ceiling.
Depending on the celing materal this may have little or no impact on the signal.

You could also use an antenna such as the HO-2400 in conjuntion with the APs mounted in the ceiling

For false ceilings the very worst you'd need to do is put the ap in upside down with the antennas poking through little holes.

Really it's down to antenna orientation - remember it's a donut shape / flattened sphere for the radiation pattern so you may need more AP's on ceilings than walls - but in the world of radio - you won't know for certain till you try.

since there would be no obstructions you should be better from the ceiling than the wall. In a house I've had an AP in the attic and connected from the kitchen through two ceilings.

If the ceiling is so substantial as to block the signal then there should be no problem fixing the AP to it. - also if more than one story involved and they aren't concrete floors you may get signal up through the floor too
