    Hi

I need to get a decent pro bag [all weather, plenty of padding, strong but comfortable to carry...]

It needs to hold two pro bodies [both with drives]
    15mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm
    70-200mm f2.8
    300mm f2.8
    metz hammerhead & other bitz

I've looked at lowepro backpacks - seem good but it's hard to judge from a website pic. Does anyone have a recommendation from personal experience??

    cheers

    Hiya,

I have a Lowpro Minitrekker and it was the best hundred and something POUNDS I have spent on camera gear. It wouldn't hold all the stuff you have, but there are bigger versions as I'm sure you know. They are very well built and have a lot of options for storage and expansion. The bag has been with me all round Oz and numerous other places in Europe and Africa. I'm always confident that my gear is protected in it from all but the heaviest knocks.

Try the bigger Lowpros, they might be even more sturdy then mine.

I've got tthe dryzone (http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Backpacks/waterproof/DryZone_200.aspx), very good bag, plenty of padding and totally waterproof.

It's a pretty heavy and bulky bag though (even empty). Not sure if it would hold two bodies or not, depending on how you configured the padding.

I'd only suggest this bag if the weather-prooff feature is the main driving force, don't get me wrong it's a great bag and I've needed it's waterproofing but it may not accomodate everything you want.

I'm leaning towards the AW Trekker 2.
