In fairness, anything beats the **** out of the DS Spider-Man game. My eyes burn just looking at video clips of that.

Spiderman DS would be grand if it wern't for the terrible level design. Its impossible to find and kill all the bad guys in the ridiculas time limit they give you. Havent gotten too far due to lack of will to try remember where all the bad guys are.

the DS comes off very poorly when you compare Spiderman 2 and ridge racer to the PSP, this will be the trend I think with the same titles on both consoles, however the nintendo only stuff is very good

Spiderman 2 on the DS was a launch title its not even out yet on the PSP. Makes me think it was very rushed and could have been much better. There is no reason it couldn't have been more like the PSP version (ie full 3D isntead of the 3D backround and 2D spiderman)

Iv played RR on both and TBH I dont think the DS version comes off that badly. It feels a bit rushed and def a port as opposed to a ground up build. Still its a good racer that you can get in to and has support for 6 players with one or more cards. I have Urban GT on the DS as well which is better in some ways then RR but is very unfinished (rushed) making it a bit **** over all.

I dont think the PSP con compete on the FPS front at all. PS2 FPS are terrible despite the horse power and if anything thats going to be worse on a PSP with only one analogue nub. Same probably goes for RTS titles. DS can match and beat a PSP in puzzle tiles.

The 3rd Person games are going to be a big battle ground. Rachet and Clank is an extreamly solid title that will work well on the PSP. Same goes for Splinter Cell type sneak em ups. GTA will draw the crowds Sonys way as always.

A year down the road I dont think anyone can predict how the games are going to go. The line up of both (whats available now) is weak so they are both going to be hammering out games over the next 12 months trying to convince pwople one way or another. Then we have the add-ons to look forward to as well. DS is getting rumble pack at some stage as well as other bits and bobs (maybe even a Palm OS release). PSP is going to be a phone from what iv heard!

I think the DS has the best games so far, also some of the most rushed crappy games, I suppose its early days, if only they had animal crossing and Advance wars for PSP

Iv never played Animal Crossing but im dying to now after everyone keeps going on about it!

Advaced wars DS is going to rock...

Somebody will do a gba emu for the PSP and then it can have AW 1+2

Its annoying all the PSP threads are generally relevent to the DS people and vice versa but now we hae DS threads in Games and PSP threads in games->Playstation

If it's a choice between a lunchbox with two crappy screens or three PSP games (like mercury, wipeout or GTA) I know what I'll spend my money on!

The DS is out first. Nintendo have had the handheld market for yonks. Right now in my book that's all there is to it.

The DS is a joke - it's novel and it's nintendo but in actuality it's a disgrace.
