Hello... you may remember I posted about having hit a Jag. The driver and I are now trying to sort this out- I need to settle privately cos if I go through the insurance and lose my no claims bonus, the premium is gonna go up so much that I won't be able to afford to drive.

So I need to get a reasonable quote for repair. Anybody got a recommendation? I saw on the BMW repair thread that there are independant specialists out there....

    Thanks in advance.

The only name that comes to mind is -

Robert Hughes Jaguar Specialist (may only do classic jags).
He is involved with an upcoming classic car sale in Citywest.
Ph: Dermot Flynn on 01-6600622, who should be able to put you in contact him.

    Silvera.

I think it's John Scahill in Rutland Place might be able to offer advice. I think he himself works on classics, but he might know a good guy.

I stand by my earlier advise. Buy him a new 95 Jag will be cheaper.

a new bumper will be about 1000 euros and probably 1000 to fit/spray, my advice is let ur insurance handle it.
