usually either some sort of envelope stuffing job, or some sort fo pyramid 'no, this is not a pyramid scheme, those are illegal, this is more a rhumbus type scheme' scheme.

but hey, maybe if someone has tried em out and isnt too embarassed to talk about it, they might post up and tell us all about it?

In my opinion this is a pretty ignorant statement. Yes, many of there things are worthless scams, but there are very many proper and legitimate home businesses out there, and becasue of statements like this, I think they get a bad rap unnecessarily. Maybe you have had a bad experience but tat doesn;t mean they are all bad!

I'm on the lookout for a way to earn extra money and possibly set up an Home/Internet business. There are loads of them out there, many very successfull. I read an article that said by 2010, 10% of american homes will be running some sort of Home/Internet Business. Some home businesses will enable you to create a 'Residual Income', as you build a team below you who you get small commissions from. If you approach it like a business, and work at it properly, you can create a nice residual income frmo you team, enabeling you to have more time off, while the money keeps coming in.

Many companies are using the MLM system for a number of reasons:

    - The best form of advertising is Word of Mouth.
    - It can allow other poeple to make a living by helping to sell your product.
    - If they put their product on thew shelves it woulf get lost with all the others, this way gets better results...

    Also,

    - Any good MLM system will teach you Personal Development skills that you may not get in a normal company.
    - You are your own boss and can work from home, which has a lot of obvious advantages.

So if it looks weird, strange, dodgey or too good to be true, it probably is. Buy if you do your research, talk to people in the business, find one that suits you, there is a realy opportunity to make extra money.

If anyone is interested PM me and I will point you to one a freind is involved in and they can show you exactly how it works, and the substantial residual income this woman has created.

    MLM is a scam.

    Example - EurExcel.

This is a MLM phone company and considered *the best* of the bunch.

If you go to one of their meetings you will see that they don't care about their phone service - they make all their money from people signing up to be a part of their MLM system.

Really... any "job" where you have to PAY to join... it's a scam.

HERBALIFE is a large reason for a load of these SCAMS also.

My neighbour recently tried to convert me to HERBALIFE.

Of course she did. Based on unsubstantiated internet reports I've read from unsubstantiated purported vic^H^H^Hparticipants in that particular, er, sales channel/program, her garage is probably full of product and she'd like you to buy it all from her.

Yeah, that's how it seems to be sceptre. It's weight loss protein dust incidentally WWM, much less appealing than the *other* herbs.

Some are legit.. like the ones that end up being kleeneze and the like... im sure these people actually make some money or they would not do it. Hell i have bought kleeneze stuff.

If you have to pay to join.. avoid!!

amtrack is about the only legit one i know, apart from the eurexcel one.

and they all rely on people to reruicting others to do their selling for them.

its all a form of pyramid selling, and regardless of whether its legit or not, its very few people who actually make any money.

if there are any other form of home working schemes that are legit, and are not of the pyramid/rombus/square form, then id be intereted to hear about them

apart fromthe stuffing envelope one. which is boring, and you get lots of paper cuts and a sticky tongue...
