    before uk yellow house cards there were just blue ones [which i can get all the bbc's but no itv's],i've got two of these,which keep having the digibox saying insert new up to date card...
    is there anyway of updating these older cards ??

    No. They were deactivated about 2 years ago. The software on the Sky box will no longer accept them.

    Their only collectors items now.

    No they're not - as BBC chanels are free to air (not free to view like ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4 and five), NO CARD AT ALL IS NEEDED TO RECEIVE THEM.

    Throw those old cards away, they're of no use whatsoever and they're doing nothing in the digibox.

    No they're not

    yes they are

    they can be used to get the UK EPG onto your digibox. this will give you BBC3, 4, News 24, BBC radio etc. on the EGP
