    Simple question.

Is there a program to change HTML code for an entire folder of pages? I know find and replace would do it in Word or Dreamweaver for one big page but this is for multiple pages?

I'm sure I'm missing it somewhere...

    Thanks!

Assuming it is a common change in all HTML pages. e.g. replacing <table border="2"> with <table border="0">

Then either homesite, dreamweaver have a multiple find and replace. provided that all the pages are located in a directory or sub directory under a specific parent directory.

Personall I use homesite, as you can specify what files to look in and change - quite nifty - as far as I know Dreamweaver does this aswell

Ok thanks I'm obviously just missing it.

I liked Homesite from a few years back but now I don't have my own copy so I'm holding out on downloading the trial until my Dreamweaver one expires :)

Edit: D'oh it's under find and replace. Just didn't use my head - presumed that was for the indiv. doc. Thanks!

I remember using a great little program called "windows grep" for doing this sort of thing.

Dreamweaver does it perfectly well. Just change it from "Find in selected files" or whatever it is to "Find in folder".

    Shall do everything you need.

UltraEDIT is the fastest option if you have a lot of html files to modify!
