It would be nice to see a bit of mod 'action' though esp with the amount of spammers there, and blatant trolls.

i received about 5 reports a few hours ago all within 5 mins of each other. the thread has been looked after.

People should report threads, but in practice they rarely do. As a mod you need to read the board anyway, don't only rely on reported posts.

gimmick

In that particular forum there are too many muppets anyways. Gone are the days where there are many intelligent posts. It just seems to be getting over-run by kids saying one line posts.

I'm in agreement on this, I don't think the mods are doing their jobs properly and it's affecting the wrestling board as a whole. If the mods are not interested enough to properly manage the board then may I suggest they step aside and let someone who is interested take their place. I'm not saying this while waiting for someone else to step up, I'll do it myself.

Having considered your suggestion I don't think it's plausible that a half-nelson would prevent a moderator from doing there job as they would still have one free hand to type with. Unless of course you're talking about a full-nelson, in which case I understand completely. Perhaps you should save your insights for another thread, they're really not needed here.

I love the way theres a townsfolk rebellion every few months on the wrestling board.
"the mods are crap, ill do it instead"
"we need someone else, I think i could do a better job"
"new mod! Ill put myself forward to do it"

For some reason "Ze Kids" seem to think being the mod of a wrestling forum makes them Elite.
I take care of any problems reported to me, more than meets the eye believe me.
I dont read every thread because not every thread interests me. But i do read most of em.
If you want to post in a heavily modded, heavily edited police state of a forum. go somewhere else. You'll be back in a week.

First off, I'm not a kid I'm 27 years old. If you are not reading every thread you are not doing your job properly. Nobody wants the board to be heavily modded, just modded correctly, i.e. not deleteing an entire thread because of one or two wayward posts. Nobody is suggesting that you can't be a mod any more, just that we need a more active and interested mod.

Sorry to burst you bubble but I am relatively new here and have never had any other account on this site. Nobody is saying that boards is **** but we need a moderator who will actively try to improve and promote the group, not just drop in every now and then to threaten us and make sure we are all kept in line. I don't want this to become a pointless row between the board users and the mods. Please listen to what we are saying without assuming that we are all idiots or refering to us as idiots. I've been respectful towards everyone so far and I would like to think that you could do the same.

as far as i can see, there are a small number of people who just continually complain in that forum, and i see no reason why the modship should change.
i havent seen a decent argument as to why the mods there are not good enough.

put that forward in a non whinging way and maybe someone will listen to you.

besides, i have my own mask, i think i should be mod of thwe wrestleing forum. ive played all the games, was a big fan of randy 'macho man' savage and have seen all the wrestlemania programs.

Well it doesn't help that when we make a request for a new mod all we get from you is the usual response, taking the p***! Perhaps if the people who constantly complain had someone to complain to who actually did something and was interested in their opinions then they would not complain so much. How can you say that you have not seen a decent argument as to why the mods are not good enough when we have explained the problems that we are having?
