Hey we're a Dublin band looking for a dedicated bassist. Our influences (to name a few) are Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Pixies, Mars Volta, Head Automatica, Funeral for a Friend, Finch but we would welcome any influences that suited the band. We're lookin for people from around 17 to 23 preferably

Hmmm what more dya wana know? We jam every Sunday in town and we're all extremely dedicated to the music. Getting gigs won't be a problem I've already got people asking us to play on the basis of our old bands. Sound interesting? Come down for a jam and we'll pay. How old are you and what are you into?

well I'm 23, just got back from a year in oz and I'd like to get jammin. its a big dirty cliche but I'm into all types of music, but with relevance to this thread, these are some of the bands i'm into: Fugazi, Bad Brains, Gang of Four, Adolescents, RHCP, as well as Pixies, TMV and Pumpkins. do you have a demo? i suppose you guys are 17-23?

Nah wel pay for the jam obviously! Eh no were 18-20 apart from the drummer. We put the age up to 23 cause 3 years won't make much difference in a band. We haven't done a demo yet we're waiting for a bassist to do that

What kind of songs have you been rehearsing? Like what's the routine?

Eh we've got 4 of our own songs pretty much ready to record so they're high on the priority list. They're not too heavy lots of melody hard to find a band to compare them to. We're about to start covering Beating Heart Baby by Head Automatica and Be Quiet and Drive by Deftones. I'm not a big fan of playing covers but we've decided 1 or 2 could add a bit of variety to our set.

Well I haven't exactly tested them on what they can play we're mostly interested in writing our own stuff and thats what everyone in the band is good at! A load of musicians who were good at covers and not originals wouldn't really appeal to me. We jam in the city centre.
