I nearly crashed the car in shock today as I witnessed Kilkennys finest actually cleaning yes cleaning road signs on the N10. They were using soap and water and doing a pretty good job. I was shocked to say the least.

    Long may it continue.

Sign and marker cleaning is an important job yet its often overlooked by the council, again they expect ppl to know where everything is including the edge of the road on a dark and stormy night.

My god you want an edge to the rd. Where I live the road and the edge just difuse into each other. You know your at the edge, when your still going foreward in a straight line with full right lock on !

    WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ??????? Cleaning road signs ?????????

I only raised this topic a few weeks ago, when I asked 'had anybody ever seen a council worker actually cleaning a roadisgn' ? ........ perhaps Kilkenny county manager was reading boards.ie !!

Another 'first' for Ireland - cleaning road signs !!!

    ........long may it continue !!!!!!!

Now, if only we could get the other 25 counties to follow suit
