BB on Win 98, USB or Ethernet ?

    i have my pc running dual os with xp pro and 98, my bb (ntl) is fine on xp but nothing is happening on 98, is this because win 98 needs to connect via usb ?

    i have win98 on ethernet.

    have you installed drivers for your nic in 98?
    check control panel > network > tcp/ip for "insert nic here"
    see if its set up properly

    :o where do i get the drivers :o , i did look but i can't find them :(

    you dont need drivers.
    is your network card installed and working?

    hi chalk thanks for you help. :)

    i ended up ringing Ntl yesterday and i was talking to there tech support for about 25 mins and they don't know why i can't get bb on 98 :confused: :rolleyes: they got me to check everything, start>>run>>command>>ipconfig...

    and nothing came up as in an ip address, i just got 0.0.0.0 :confused:

    i have another pc in the next room but i don't have a crossover cable, where would i get one (cheap ;) ) ?

    Any PC shop should have them for under €10 (depending on the length)
