    Does anyone know of a program that will edit the version information of a dll file

    Depends on what you are trying to do.

    There was a Command line version tool called "SETVER" which will do it. Don't think it works within windows though.

    Other then that any resource editor should allow you if they have stored the version number within the resource information.
