No offence to Lenny, but the guy doesn't seem to have a clue (or possibly even care) about what constitutes a legit mp3 download.
don't get me wrong, he's a fine mod. just a little too lenient...

Agreed a new mod is needed over there to help Lenny out. There is far too many threads on tune ID's etc. Also was a period not so long ago of discussion over which yokes are best and how many people can take in one night  Plus far far too many threads from people promoting radio shows and club nights.

As for mp3's well I'm a regular postr of links to livesets by djs and also radio shows (essential mixes). Never has been a problem on any board I;ve ever posted on so didnt think it would be here.

i don't have a problem with the posting of livesets or radio shows, its threads like this one going unnoticed that pisses me off.
and yeah, the constant stream of tune id threads is getting fairly annoying.

    Agreed.

New mod nessecary. No offence intended to Lenny but that even though can be seen as a suggestion for a search on google, it was not the finest move and could land boards.ie into been seen as a source for illegal downloads or at least a place where there is ways to break the copyright laws. Therefore this should be seen as a breach of the rules.

Ok,so the guy has made one mistake, imho I think hes a really good mod and hes knows what hes talking about, hes always ready to help out with a tune and knows when all the good gigs are on and knows when a thread has gone too far....doesnt that constitute a good mod no?

Tman thats google who offer that service and thats been posted numerous times in Computers After Hours and Bargain Alerts(wtf).

And if somone is looking for something to download illegally most people will say "use kazaa" thats not illegal , look at the numerous "how do i set up p2p etc". Helping someone to use a program or pointing them in the direction isnt a program , posting a direct link to illegal porn or files is illegal.

so i guess posting a link to suprnova would have been acceptable back when it was running?
