I believe its a kind of semi-sport, pretty sure its just called running, but i may be mistaken there... help please? Just wanna know what its called, and links to good sites if there are any!

    Cheers!

I remember seeing some clips of what you're talking about. Think it's called urban-free-climbing or something like that...

    It's called Freerunning or Parkour.

Invented by Sebastien Foucan and David Belle in France some years ago.

Check out the "freerunning/parkour" thread on the extreme sports board, parlour-ireland.com or urbanfreeflow.com.

Fairly sure there's a jam on Saturday Iveagh Gardens at 12:00 if anyones interested.

the series was called Jump Britain, I'm pretty sure, it was 'the making-of' documentary of the series, must be a DVD coming, starring that french guy Sebastien Foucan

Looks like fun, gave it a bit of a go when I was running around Trinity last week, though nothing too mental. Around Club Leck' and cricket pitch has some moderate obstacles to jump over, and some lethal stuff if you can avoid the skate-brats.

Yeah, free running has been on E4 / Channel 4 a few times over the last couplle of years. Looks good, but has anyone seen the all sports show @6pm on a Friday on sky sports? before they go to the ads they sometimes do a skit of this, it's gas!
