Standalone video player program?

    My company's IT policy is anal to the point of being ridiculous (I can browse Ebay but I can't log on to my Ebay to buy or check anything!). User accounts can't install anything and I'm reluctant to go bursting the admin password. My biggest bugbear is that I can't install a divx or xvid codec to watch anything on it. I seem to remember having some sort of video previewing program, possibly for incomplete stuff from kazaa, that just ran as an executable rather than needing to be installed.

    Anybody know of anything like this or am I imagining things?
