    Kylie headlining
Thats f***ing horriffic, Glastonbury you've just dropped down 100 points. Other than kylie the setlist isn't overly brilliant is it?

And Oxegen is so ****in wonderful isnt it.

Id rather watch those bands/Acts than put up with Stalag Punchestown.

Glastonbury IS the only festival for everyone.

Well in fairness if Kylie had been announced to be headlining Oxegen there would be a 5 page thread on here moaning about how crap the lineup for Irish festivals are. The difference I suppose isthat Glastopnbury has strength in depth, so even if theres someone you're not keen on playing one stage you'll probably find someone playing another stage who you do like.

Glastonbury is more about the scene then who is headlining. I'm going this year if i can get a ticket, regardless of who is playing. You tend to have more fun at the campsite, no matter what festival you go too.

especially at Glastonbury since its a music AND ARTS festival.... some just amazing stuff there apart from the music stages....

oh which there are so many you are bound to find someone you like....

and so far the glasto lin-up is bloody brilliant I think.....

I'll be doing the robot to " Can't get you outta my head " ..... :D

Bloc Party, The Bravery, The Futureheads, are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.... and I'd go for those alone since I know I won't see many bands over the week....

April 3rd is a Sunday - why release tickets on Sunday morning at 9am??? I was sort of hoping for a week day so could use computer in work

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,609 ✭✭✭comet

Because of the meltdown of previous years they were advised that Sunday would be a quieter day for both telephone and internet traffic.

you can only get a glasto ticket if you have a uk address to send it too and you have to bring ID with you to prove its you....and isn;t there a limit of 2 tickets or something???? all these bloody rules.

My friend's mum (yes her mother) paid a guy a tenner a few years ago to climb over the fence using his ladder just so she could go the now departed Skunk Anansie...she's insane and loves Skin and co. Now thats what its all about!!!

Yep there s awhole raft of rules - 2 per person max, you give the name and address of both when booking and you cannot change them later... UK goers have to pay by cash/draft or debit card no credit cards and theyre even talking of photo s on the tickets this.

FYI Irish folks CAN book using credit cards but they need to pick the tickets up in person in a wee village near the festival. Yep its a pain in the ass especially trying to book but farmer Eavis knows it hampers the touts big time as you run a huge risk of not getting in if you do pay a tout.

It sounds like a good and fair system, any further info on Irish ticket sales?

Ticketing details are due any day now...

I would think that provision will be made for overseas sales similar to last year - i.e. internet w/ credit card with aloud.com being the sole agents OR on the phones reserve and send draft. Price £125stg + b/f
