    hey i need help please.
    when doing something i got message about mss32.dll being missing so i downloaded it and saved it to my c:/windows/system folder.

    then i tried the thing again and the message i get is "the procedure entry point _AIL_set_file_callbacks@16 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll."

    i'm baffled

    what OS are you using?When it went missing, its probably was unlinked from the registry. You can try, Start, Run and then type sfc.exe for running system file checker to restore any missing files. I think thats under Windows 98 though.

    windows xp. i did that run thing. a small black screen came up for half a second and disappeared again. anyone else?

    forgot that you have to register the file first, try the steps below after youve copied the file to the system.

    1. Go to Start>> Run.
    2. Type in: cmd (or command) [Enter]
    3. You will now be in the DOS command prompt screen:
    * To install/register the file type in: regsvr32 file.dll
    4. A message should be displayed confirming that you've successfully registered or unregistered the file.

    eh what is it you are doing that gives the error? google the file as there are lots of fixes for different problems relating to it. Could be a winamp file, could be for a game etc etc...
