    I'm just gonna go through a few points ( get everything off my mind without using different boards):

    Is it just me or has everything changed since Frasir, Friends and sex and the city finished, and now reverted back to the way it was again?

    RTé 2 when it was launched was all Irish comedy with little US (or any funny comedy) and got rid of their monday night line up. And now thats pretty much the same, exact The panel is now on for an hour on Sundays!

    I agree with RTé having the angelus because it dosent infringe on anyone who doesnt care about the angelus but maybe they should have some Islamic programming too. But as long as it isnt interfereing with people not pratcing (similar to the angelus)!

    As a Limerick man i am dissappointed at the way the Dulin based media shows Limerick to the rest of the country. Crime rates here are some of the lowest in the country! But I was happy when i saw TV3's report's on Limerick which showed it in a normal light.

    The coverage RTÉ showed on the NAtional Basketball Cup weekend was amazing but how come it is the only irish basketball on RTÉ TV. It was one of RTE 2 hightest rated shows.
    The only other provider is Chorus Sports Channel and thats good but it's only one game a week and it's about 5 days delayed, when your at the games you can actually see there is no commenter at the games, he is edited in later. Also they shorten the game down to 1 hour.

    TV3 has the best News couverge, its fast, and fun, RTÉ and Sky Ireland can be soo boring!

    Y is Ed Burns:Just for Laughs only followoing Commenwealth Comidians, RTÉ should seriously think about showing all preformers.

    Please feel free to tare my opinions apart!!!! :)

    i agree, if you are to cater for one religion, why not all of them

    you have lost me here
    RTÉ for me wins News and Current Affairs coverage hands town. TV3 seems very tabloid for me and Sky News the same

    I agree.
    Sky News Ireland, from what I've seen of it, seems to contain little news. I remember, I think it was in November, The Economist published a report that said Ireland was the country with the best quality of life. Sky News spent about 10 minutes on this absolute non-story. They had a needless link up to a politician/reporter in the Dail so that Grainne Seoige could quiz him on the report. Then they stretched it out some more by showing some VT where they vox-poped a vacuous young couple, asking, "So do you think Ireland is a good place to live?" Their responses were along the lines of:
    "Yeah, it's cool!"
    "No, It isn't."
    "Yeah- it is!"
    "No, it isn't."
    Ad infinitum and nauseum.
    The Sky News Ireland team should pack themselves into that shiny new helicopter of theirs and go and find some real news!

    I think they have the angelus so that they can say that they had X amount of religous programming. Mono and Would You Believe do provide something for people of different Races and Religions. They could have more.

    I always thought that News 2 did the whole fast and fun news better then TV3. TV3 news has
    normal news (be serious people, its a very important subject matter), Introduce Martin King (Remember Crazy people, hip cool yeah baby) and finally smile(Lorraine Keane).

    I dont like TV3, as most know here.
    RTé 2 when it was launched was all Irish comedy with little US (or any funny comedy) and got rid of their monday night line up. And now thats pretty much the same, exact The panel is now on for an hour on Sundays!

    I like the panel, the blizzard of Odd and Love is the Drug. I think RTE should provide more air time to Irish Talent.

    Monday Nights
    RTE TWO = N2
    Joey = Friends
    Scrubs = 3rd Rock
    Just For Laughs = The Lounge
    Blizzard of Odd = DFTG
    Rodge And Podge = Rodge and Podge
    RTE(ntertaining) News = News 2

    Oh and dont forget "Grounded for Life" @ 3am?????
    Is it just me or has everything changed since Frasir, Friends and sex and the city finished, and now reverted back to the way it was again?

    No it was always that way.

    Couldn't agree with you there on the content side of things but certainly TV3 News' production values are far superior to RTÉ, something that's rarely commented upon. From cueing to vision mixing to audio to VT packages (again excluding content) everything is far superior. RTÉ ought to be mortified at that situation.
