    Is it possible to find out the owner of a number if you have their number? For example if someone calls you and hangs up but their number is displayed so you have it, can you find out who the number is registered to?Cheers

    well, you dont have to give your details to vodafone when you buy a ready to go phone so i woud presume a lot of numbers have no name to them, and i'm sure there is some data protection act in place too.

    Its against the Data Protection Act for Vodafone or any other network to give out any information of a customers account based on just their number.

    Dial into their voice mail .They may leave their name in the message .

    You can try calling directly to the voicemail, if they have a personalised message you will hear who it is.
    Dial 087 5 and the seven digit number.

    And if you dial 0875XXXXXXX, press #, then 0000, #. Then change their message minder (and their message password) to something along the lines of "tell me who you are and I'll give you your password"

    That's an old trick at this stage, there must be some new ones out on the block.

    Have fun people! :D or if anyone wants to call, say they got a missed call from the number and ask who it is, presumably they'll recognise my voice...
