yes indeed, the seminar will cover the three ranges Stand-up, Clinch and Ground and we always concentrate on the fundementals!

i would be more than willing to give you a free private lesson before the seminar so as to prepare you for what to expect during the seminar

seriously if you follow the link it says ultimate fighting and then underneath it says brazilian jiu jitsu ,
for a fella like myself (a little older) who would be wanting to improve his Bjj game but is not so interested in MMA participation would I be catered for ?
For me there is a certain degree of anxiety about attending a seminar, will I get something of value out of it , will I get smeared all weekend, should I take the weekend off etc etc ? Should I maybe be save my leave for a more Bjj orientated seminar.

I like to think i have an open mind , and all truth be told Mr Jk yourself and the Zen have helped in this regard. But that emotional bond is awful hard to break !!

Also John a little off topic but congratulations with regard to the European Bjj champs!

most of the seminar will be on ground/bjj and we only concentrate on fundementals so it will suit all levels. there will be an element of stand-up and clinch training as well but we get guys of all different levels training so you will be paired up with someone of similar ability and will only be expected to work at a level that suits you.

I was at Matt's seminar in August and it was brilliant. Davec was at it and he had never really done clinch or standup before and he thought it was great craic! The fundamentals I learnt at have really translated to all three ranges and it wasnt geared at MMA supermen! I cant imagine anyone smearing you anyway. (though we learnt a side control technique called smearing from Tom Oberhue at the last one )

Hey if I can summon up the funds you can pair up with me. I, like you have comedy TMA striking so you dont really have anything to fear!

Jus checkin is this seminar open to non sbg members? Also if I'm able 2 go, would only b for 1 day, not sure yet weather that could b Sat r Sun. Is that alright? to just come, possibly on the 2nd day? Looks v good.Cheers

Just went on to www.ticketmaster.ie and had no problem selecting tickets. Also, if you go to http://www.thepoint.ie and click on Bushido Rings on the Upcoming Events page you can see what blocks are what price.
