question about star ocean 2 on the ps2

was thinkin of gettin star ocean: till the end of time but if i havn't played the original will i have a clue whats goin on, or is it like final fantasy where it doesnt matter?

I heard it takes place a few thousand years after the Second but you don't have to have any knowledge of the second game since there aren't many references to it and any that are there aren't important.

If you do have to play Star Ocean 2 its very easy to find the american version. Don't bother looking for a PAL version. Its rarer than hens teeth.
