    Hullo,
    My current pc is

    Radeon 9800 pro
    athlon xp 1800
    512 mb ram
    2 x 40 gb hard drives
    dvd drive + 16 x cd burner
    19 inch flatscreen gericom monitor.

I have a few questions Smile Firstly how much can I expect to sell my current pc for ? (roughly)

Secondly - Looking for a rough price for a new 'gaming' pc. I want a new monitor too (if i can get enough money together) and a dvd burner + high end gaming specs. I wont have enough money to get the very latest stuff but I would like fairly high end anywho.

I would also pay someone to put it all together for me if anyone wants to volunteer ! While I want to build a good pc I dont have an abundance of cash so Im looking for a happy medium between quality and cost :)

Can't give you much on Q2 but I'd pay expect to you get at least €500 for your current system.

Tusky let us know if you selling that pc know someone who buy it.

Q2 how much you got ?

really no point guessing what you want if noone knows how much you can spend.

But if I was getting a gaming PC, I'd want at least 1GB RAM if not 2GB.

It all depends on whats your budget for the new pc tusky.

Well to be honest I dont really have a budget - its just a matter of taking longer to save the money. ( i want the PC asap though :) )

500 for the old pc would be alright I guess...even though I paid 200 for the graphics card alone not too long ago :(

I'll give you a shout when im selling kdjac.

well if its a help when I went to buy a gaming PC I got a pretty cool one from Komplett for €820; athalon 3200+, 512 ram, DVD burner, 160 gig hard drive and 9800 pro graphics card. can probably get a better one for cheaper at the moment but I'm happy with my kit for another year or so.

no idea about monitor price though...

Tusky i built a sweet PC a few months ago and an awful lot of the componenets i bought right off boards. Saved me a shedload of money by A)buying stuff off for sale forum and B) asking the good people here int he computer board for opinions on stuff i was gonna buy.
Basically, this is the stuff i got from boards:

    15" TFT monitor: E250
    1gb Corsair pc3200 ram: E160
    400w antec PSU: E120

And the rest i got in town

    Asus k8v se motherboard: 170
    AMD 64 3000+ : 250 <--- (was ripped off for this tho)
    Case: 70
120gb western digital caviar hdd: E89

And it runs anything i can throw at it brilliantly. (hl2, doom 3, bfv etc) I took my 9800 pro out of my old pc and put it in this one, you could do the same if you dont mind knocking 100 quid off the sale price of your old pc.
