Anyone see Victor Costello on TV3 last night? He was quite emphatic about the fact that Northhampton would underestimate Munster, and that would be the cause of their downfall.

Personally, I'm worried about the size of their pack, those guys are *big*!

Hopefully their bad run of late will do some damage to their form!

thank god somebody mentioned Munster smile.gif
If they play as well as they did in the other matches, they will win, even if Northhampton do underestimate them. But how could you underestimate a team that beat so many good teams along the way, i don't think you could. Fair enough, Toulouse underestimated Munster, because they had the home advantage and stuff, but now, surely Northhampton won't do the same. Still, unless munster's spirit suddenly dies or something, i think they'll win. But remember that tight game against saracens.... hmm.

I'm a little ****ed so bare with me. Northampton are up to something dropping Metcalf (6'9") and putting Rodber up into the second row. Now I'm not quite sure what it is but they are'nt putting pressure on wood's throw into the lineout with this selection. Wood's throw being the one percieved weekness in the munster pack would be one area I would target. Still like Trojan said they have a MASSIVE pack and its all they play to. Kidney is considered the best tactican in Ireland for donkeies of years and I'm quite sure he has his own ieda's.
When it comes to final's in rugby the team who makes the less mistakes win's so generally the more organized pack wins the game regared less of the back line so I would back Munster if its a tight game but if Northampton get two scores clear at any stage it could be game over as they stick the ball up the jersey and kill the game

    What a disappointment!

Bad weekend all round for Irish rugby there - we could have won both of those games, no question.

What happened our kickers? Those were surprisingly bad misses (esp the Munster one, Lansdowne can be quite windy, more so than Twickers).

I would like to hear more on the Galwey sin-bin, I don't think he should have gone off.

After the Munster game a commentator stated that "One could not ask for more" ...

    *ahem

    How about a win.

They did great to get there, but to go so close and not finish the job is deperate, especially as they had the winning of the game on a number of occasions.

Great to see Irish rugby on the up, but sad to see we still accept 2nd place in a "well we couldn't have done any better" kinda way.

Good Kicking got us to the final
    Poor Kicking lost it.

As for the Barbarians game ...

    Desperate again.
    Humphries should be shot. IMO.

Glad i didn't pay to go see it. Lomu was given no ball at all, and the Baba's really didn't look like they cared at all.

That said some fine moments of play by Pichot and the full back.

    Shame Pienard wasn't playing.
