Just seen this.Does anybody know if this is effective as normal ink cartrigdes. It looks straight forward allright and if it is its a bargain :)
Or is it all messy to put in?Iv got a hp photo smart printer so has anybody trying this before?

Oh yeah its 8.99euro for small bottles
    Red(1)
    Blue(1)
    Yellow(1)
    Flush(1)
    And the needle+siringe

Or you can get the black ink @8.99 with 3 bottles with a bottle of flush and needle etc...

they're a waste of time time. you wear down the printer heads when u use ur normal cartiridge. the heads are only designed to be used with 1 tank of ink so u get smudgey, blurry prints. Using them also voids ur warranty. u need warranty with printers!

hi barrie i have a photosmart 7260 , and i have refilled my cartridges for the last 6 months with no problems whatever , a new refill from hp costs around 45 euros , a black one costs around 25 , i get my refill supplies from 9 to 6 http://www.9to6.ie/products.htm in cork if my hp cartridge wears out i will replace it with a remanufactured one which is cheaper .
totally recom refilling , but i would find better ink than the tesco one
unless someone else has used it with good results

Bought one of those Tesco refill packs (the colour one) a while ago to try it on an empty cartridge from my HP Deskjet 920c. Didn't work. I followed the instructions precisely but, afterwards, it wouldn't print at all. That's not to say that they wouldn't work with some other printer cartridge's but, in my experience, they don't work on a 920c.

For the price, though, I suppose it's worth a try but I have a funny feeling that, if the cartridges are along the same lines as the type used in the 920c/900 series, they probably won't work.

Oh, by the way, lay down plenty of paper beforehand and be prepared to spend a long time scrubbing your hands afterwards as, yes, it can be a bit messy and the ink is a bitch to wash off! :D

I've a canon i455, which has a seperate print head to the ink tanks. I can refill the ink-tanks easy as pie, and I replace the head only when necessary. Once so far!

I've used refil kits successfully before but only for black cartridges. It's very easy to get black ink right as it's a single color and the cartridge can easily control the output. On the other hand mixing colour dyes to make reliable colours is a lot more difficult and any results I've seen from the colour refil kits have been poor.

I doubt it differs much from any other brand. If you're refilling cartridges, chances are you aren't concerned about achieving absolute 100% quaility, and from that standpoint: Ink is Ink.

Try it out. Your cartridge will already be empty, so the most you can lose is 15 minutes and the tenner for the ink kit.

if you let the cartridge empty the sponge in it will completely dry up, this is why it didn't work for you, i've been using various refill kits for ages, haven't found one that didn't work , the only problems i've had is when i've let the sponge dry out too much or stupidly put the wrong colour into the wrong section!

have been using the tesco refills for a while on my HP
    no problems whatsoever
best to keep them topped up rather than run the risk of letting them dry up and therefore being unusable
the tesco one are just Jettec with the tesco logo

    Barrie

I have used cheapest quality refills, with good results. Dead safe with HP, lexmark printers 'cause the head are in the cartridge, unlike Epson where you are only refilling a tank, heads lower down in printer. I just messed up my colour cartridge (wont print blue) 'cause I let it run completely out of ink. The ink cools the heads when printing, so if no ink......get it.
One further note ...Have seen on english web sites that there are a number of black inks specially formulated for HP, with different qualities....Colour seems universal.
So if your printer cartridge has then heads built in, certainly have a go. Not messy if done slowly. Suction kits are available to "draw" the ink down, but I found that damp kitchen roll is just as good. There are also tricks to fool the printer memory to show cartridge full again(HP printers remember last 3 or 4 cartridges installed.)

    Hope this helps
