    Southampton 1-0 Portsmouth.

Great goal from Oakley from the edge of the box.

Peno to Pompey, waiting to be taken by Yakubu.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

    1-1, peno converted.

Sh*te 1st half, but the 2nd will be tasty after those two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

Great finish by Higginbottom, but even better call by lineo for an offside.

    1-1 it remains.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

Pompey down to 10 men, Kamara sent off for a 2nd yellow (deliberate handball)

Saints look much more likely to score a winner.

    Peno to Saints!

92nd minute, handball in the box, given by the lineo.

Peter Crouch, former Pompey player, makes it 2-1 from the spot.

Have Soton visited Fratton Park in the league? There'll be war.

jeez he took that peno well - huge pressure!

    2-1 saints

Ah the Cup delivers again! Dreadful first half was a good ad for drying paint but more than made up for. Deffo penalty well taken.

    Mike.

Panel on BBC say no way was it a penalty, looked to me like it was arm/shoulder to ball so was a correct decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

I've seen it 5 times now, and I still reckon it was a peno. What matters is the first time the lineo saw it, and when it happened in realtime I shouted "handball" staright away.

No, but for the ability to take it its money well spent IMO.

Two fabulous goals by Rooney, still has a lot to prove but hopefully that will help his confidence.
O'shea played very well I thought, great save by Carroll, could have been trouble if they scored that.
Rooneys second would be contender for goal of the season, fabulouse technique.
    Roll on the next round

Aye fabolous goal by Rooney, how he had the time to even think of doing it I'll never know.

I know how you feel. :( BTW, if you had a draw in that match, don't put draws in accie's. The average odd for a draw is about 9/4 which means about every 1 in 2 matches would be draws, it just doesn't happen. Its not like wins IMO, draws are more down to luck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,335 ✭✭✭Dr Bolouswki

i normally avoid draws like the plague, but i had the above and 2 other draws for a 3 match acumalotr and was only getting 18-1, so i threw in 5 bankers (rangers man u etc) which pushed it to 110-1..... was so happy and then scowcroft... prick....

How much did you put on to get a potential jackpot of €565?

Depends on what odds you can get eirebhoy.

My big win from a couple of weeks ago had 2 draws (Reggina-Inter/Cagliari-Juventus) and 3 home wins on it, two draws pushed the winnings up significantly. Won €285.

Had Saints, Everton and Spurs to win yesterday, with Wham-Sheff Utd as a draw. What happens? The Spurs away win finishes as a draw!

Some you win, some you lose...

I go for draws a good bit too. There are always a good few games that you just know are going to be draws, and the odds are usually about 9/4 so a couple of them rocket your overall odds.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,013 ✭✭✭✭eirebhoy

I put about 2 or 3 football bets on every week and can't remember ever doing a draw. :) Bet for today is:

    Ajax
    Milan
    Cagliari
    Cordoba
    Werder Bremen

    €15 returns €110.
