    anyone know if that www.pokerevents.ie thing ever got off the ground, it sounded a bit like a scam but if it was ok then i wouldnt mind playing the 250 games that the would be holding around the country

    They have been holding the 50 euro games every week I believe and they are due to hold the first big game late next month (Feb) I believe. Its not a scam, I've helped train a few of the dealers for it but beyond that I cant vouch for it. Since I believe VC Poker are backing them I'd be surprised if it wasnt a tightly run ship.

    well if they have prominent companies as backers then it should be ok then, where are the 50 games held? also i was looking on their website about the 250 game and wanted to know if the prize money is paid out there in cash or is it tickets to bigger events, the website is'nt to clear about this

    I think the 250 game is a cash prize... it would have to be a hellova game that they'd be giving tickets too! :)
