Chorus sales drive?

    A few nights ago, an eager sharp-dressed young man, calling me by my first name, came to my door expounding the virtues of Chorus digital, obviously on commission...

    Better picture quality, multi-room viewing, etc etc.

    I told him I'd switch when they had

    a/ A telephone and internet service over the cable network (he told me internet was coming in February... though I have my doubts), so I didn't need to pay Eircom anymore.
    b/ A competitor to Sky+

    He left disappointed.

    Maybe this is a good sign? Now that they have been bought by that European operator, maybe there's hope for them?

    it depends on where u live if ur intrested in the internet sevice, apperantly its 1 mb down and 250 back for 30 euro a month, :D

    what town/city are you in lucky enought to get digtal cable. there is not a sign of it happening here at all.all they seem interested in is hawking thier digital mmds service if ya ring up and ask them. no mentioin of digital cable .

    Yeh, where are you based . . . I am in Celbridge and Chorus have been promising us digital TV for about 2 years . . . Everytime I call them they give me some cock n bull . . however, I spoke to them last week and they said they would be rolling out digital in Celbridge in April . . Anyone know any more about this ? ?

    Hi all,

    Just to let you know, I'm in Douglas, about 6 miles from Cork city... just a suburb really.

    I think Digital has been available here on cable for over a year. I left to go to Sky in 2000, after waiting what seemed like an eternity for digital. Now with the Sky+ I don't know if I could ever go back.

    I think the MMDS customers have had digital for longer, as it was a cheaper upgrade for Chorus.
