Whoa! Major episode ahoy! They certainly saved their budget for this one. They succesfully tackled a number of large plot arcs - System Lords/Baal, the Replicators/Replicarter, and the Jaffa rebellion all into one storyline. Big expensive shots, lots of characters - Hey you, it's Yu! How you ya doin' Jacob? Nice to see you Bra'tac! Etc.

Definetely looking forward to next week - good to see Anubis wasn't dealt with so easily. And Yu/You and I know who better not be dead....

I'd rather re-watching "Emancipation". Fiver times. And then a night of Andromeda

Definatly one of the highlights of the season. I loved O Neill's negotiations with Baal.
Anyone else get the feeling that the shows makers are tieing up a lot of plot ends. Maybe after next season there may only be one Stargate series.

Great episode - they really decided to marge every plot arc into one big story here, didn't they? Did anyone else get the feeling that Anubis has something up his sleeve? Ba'al seems to be busy playing both sides against the middle, and I'm not so sure he's betraying Anubis as portrayed in last night's story. It was something about the way Anubis spoke about the Jaffa taking the temple - almost like he expected it, or like himself and Ba'al planned all this. Now I know it is in the nature of the Goa'uld to try to gain power and rise to the top, but I still think Ba'al's conversations with O'Neill might be on the instruction of Anubis himself.

Nobody missed Anubis' escape - it wasn't shown in any episode, hence O'Neill's surprise at Ba'al mentioning his name. I'm sure it could be explained away quite easily though - a passing ship or somebody with more strength (and winter thermals) coming through the Stargate to investigate the planet, only to be posessed. I'm a bit more worried about Yu to tell you the truth. He's always been my favourite system lord, but I think we might have seen his demise last night. The replicators aren't noted for their mercy, and he was already in trouble before anyone realised they were dealing with Evil Carter.

This new weapon sounds interesting too. In the hands of Anubis it could wipe out all life in the galaxy, in the hands of the replicators it could wipe out all carbon-based life in the galaxy, and in the hands of the humans they may have to destroy it. Not exactly an easy decision. Plus, Jacob made it clear that he's not too keen on the Jaffa rebellion anymore. Also, we have the loss of Daniel, and possibly the loss of Thor aswell. Not really looking good at the moment.

I thought it was interesting to see O'Neill and Carter discuss the possibility of using the Ancient time-travel jumper at the outset - an allusion towards the plot of the last episode?

    Me thinks so to...

I dunno bout this ep. I did enjoy it but i hate the way the just say "O yeah guys, there is this temple...." It was the same last week "O i've been seeing visions of this guy for the past seven years and didn't tell anyone..."

As a single ep i really enjoyed it but as a whole i'm undecided. Maybe next week will change my mind.

Dont mind the temple thing, its not exactly every day conversation material. But 7 years of reliving someone elses memories... seems a bit nuts to me.

    However, all is forgiven.

Since they systematically wiped out all other system lords apart from Anubis & Ba'al, things will never be the same again. Even if the replicators are dealt with there will be only 1 leader of the Go'Auld and that is something they've feared since the begining.

Replicarter (what a nice phrase) is one seriously evil bitch. Great character. The immitating Oma was fantastic. I figured straight away it had to be Carter but then completely changed my mind. It was a fantastic scene. The candlelight saying again. Great stuff, imho.Tricked Replicarter by her own logic :P

I'm liking it so far. Imagine, a 2 parter at episode 16, we must have some good stuff to get through yet :)

And let's not forget, Evil Carter said it was the only weapon that can stop the replicators now. What it is about villians and their need to explain their plans to their captives?

lol MrPink .. so true :)

I'm glad to see there's some sanity in this thread in terms of not needing to highlight every second word to try and work through all the "spoiler" spaces...

As for O'neill / Ba'l .... **** me, simply classic. O'neill at his best once again.. (his quote about being late because he was finishing a light lunch... tuna actually :D )

As for Jacob, I'm not sure where he's off too... willing to sacrifice the whole Jaffa Rebellion.. it's a hard one to judge, hopefully we'll get more on it :)

Egotistical conviction that they will triumph.
