Anyone use any software for effects on your computer as in Guitar FX box or anything like that. basically like an amp with effects. I've used a few programs most of them are ****e though. anyone know of any good ones?

Go to http://www.kvr-vst.com and look for a freeware VST host. Then search for freeware multi-fx, ampsims, etc. There are some good ones. Green Machine is one that springs to mind. If you're determined to spend money, IK Multimedia's Amplitube is highly regarded.
