Thinking of selling/trading my laptop and was looking for a price tag to put on it.

Its an Advent 7027 laptop (silver colour). Bought in PC World in Oct of 2003. At the time shelled out for the expensive cover plan which covers EVERYTHING for 5 years so still 3 and a half+ years of cover. Have all documents inc. receipt. Paid 2000e for it then.

    P4 3.06ghz processor.
    512mb ram
    ATI radeon 9000 mobility.
    WinXp
    DVD/r Cdrw combo
2 usb ports, network card, the usual.

Full info on it can be found here (hardware tree for it) Advent 7027

Overall condition is quite good, a few small scratches on the top around the edges. (all in pwo btw :))

    Thanks.

Sounds nice. Why are you selling it? I have a similar notebook, WinBook-made, and while it's been quite reliable, it's a little too much pc in notebook form (i.e. it's heavy as @#% and the battery life isn't anything to celebrate).

I'm more of a gamer than anything else, the novelty wore off after a while :(

    Anyone got a ballpark figure?

No-one know of a suitable price? Keeping in mind the 600euro insurance i paid pc world to put on it (gives it 3 and a half years no quibble repair/replacement) All documents included.

I'd say the best way to put a price on it is go to a few retailer sites and configure similar lappys, add the service plan and see what the ballpark figure for a new one is. Then drop that price 20% or so as it's used. If you get 90% of that price I'd say you were doing okay...
