F1 or WRC?

Which do people prefer, formula 1 or world rally?

In my opinion, F1 has become too predictable, and too technology dominated. WRC, with cars and circuits closer to the "real world" is more exciting, and with technology advances, they get some excellent TV footage (saw the monte carlo rally on ITV yesterday). Only disadvantage is that it doesn't really suit a live TV format.

Id say WRC for sheer excitement in simple car footage!Ie. Jumps and all!
But the only downside about wrc is it doesnt have that wheel to wheel racing that F1 has!

    Im about 50-50 for both!

Even though F1 has been considerably lacklustre over the past few seasons, I would choose F1 over WRC any day.

WRC is without a doubt has the spectacular sceney and jumps over ramps but you cannot beat the specticle of the fastest racing cars on earth competing against each other wheel to wheel at speeds of over 180 mph at times. Ok there has not been much overtaking in recent years in F1 but it is still spectacular to watch. The cars are amazing to look at and the technology involved in F1 compared to WRC is fascinating. WRC is also undergoing a very uncertain period at the moment in terms of its manufacturers. Both Citroen and Peugeot are withdrawing at the end of 2005 so WRC is going to be really lacking competition over the coming seasons.
F1 will always be the pinnacle of motorsport.

This is an easy one ... Formula 1. Only 40 Days 11 Hours and 21 minutes to Melbourne GP !

    You serious?

That would be a huge loss in WRC!

i do like both very much, and i'm glad they're so different that there's plenty of room for both of them in the world, but i think formula 1 has to just pip it. People complain that there's no overtaking in formula 1 any more, but there's DEFINITELY no overtaking in WRC ;)

It's a shame that the aerodynamics in F1 have become so incredibly advanced and complex that they rule the show and ruin the show at the same time. But with changes to the rules, there's always the opportunity to make F1 more betterer.

PS - argh. that sucks about peugeot and citroen leaving :(
    vive la france!

edit: Moto GP is my favourite, though. You can't slap advanced aerodynamics on a machine that turns by leaning over, so the action is fast and close and really exciting :)
