Firefox lost all my favourites?

    Turned on pc and they all gone :(

    Not in doc/settings/appdata/mozilla/firefox

    where they go :confused:

    Check the profiles. Not using FF in work so I can't check right now where the setting is but you could be in under the default profile. Your bookmarks should be under your own profile.

    Just realised you checked for the files - sorry - dunno the answer now :(

    When you do get it sorted get MozBackup - it backs up all FF and TB settings for you.

    Did you try (C:>Program files>firefox) might be there. If not try your admin folder or search for favs.I dunno. Stumped il check when i get home.

    Just had a look in my comp(work) its c:>docs & settings>favourites ???????
    Dont have firefox here just IE so just a shot in the dark

    this ahppens to me from time to time with FF...
    the file you are looking for is bookmarks.html in docs&settings/<user>/app data/mozilla/
    sometimes and I don't know why this file gets overwritten (blanked out but the size is the same as the original file)
    what I usually do is backup this file elsewhere on the drive, in case of situations like this.
    If you don't have a backup of this file just import your favs from IE again - only pisser here is that you may have lost SOME favs that you added since moving to FF

    The bak(back up file) and html file are dated as of this morning.

    They all gone :( had over a 100 and fresh install of XP so IE hasnt even been opened.

    Yes, your bookmarks are lost, your pc probably crashed while you were running firefox, or maybe firefox process was running in the background when your pc crashed, or you restarted without closing firefox, anyways install this:
