    where can I get a free sip a/c so I can do voip *properly* ?
    even a cheap, good one might do...

    you can use that netmeeting for VOIP, all ye need is a mic and if you want and have the bandwidth use a web cam, if ye wanna do it 'properly' you need to register with a soft-switch, thats usually CISCO and they won't support you unless you got thier VOIP phone, cheap calls but expensive h/w, I've been using netmeeting and interupting ppl's VOIP calls (mostly in chineese and japaneese) once I break in I start playing the theme song to 'gummie bears', it goes down very well and they thank me for it!!

    Ventrilo is a good bit better then teamspeak iif its that sort of thing your after.

    Skype is good or you could try Ventrilo, which is a lot like teamspeak but I've found it to be clearer and a little easier to set up...
