First of all you need to know that you can sing, at all, as in mimic the pitch of a song. If you wanna go about it seriously but dunno where to start you might as well get singing lessons, if it really interests you.

Well nowadays it seems to be, either get yourself on Big Brother then try a hand at a stupid career you'll get nowhere with, errrm.... show off yer tits and a bit of arse until someone notices then get yourself a recording contract (ala Jordan). Or...erm... sleep with Louis Walsh.... that's about it in this day and age.

    How to go about what?

If you can sing, look for a band, if you can't, get lessons.

There are too many singers around these days, learn an instrument if possible to give yourself a better chance of joining a band tbh....

i know but its just so unfair i do have a good voice better than some people who get the chances so its completly unfair!!!!its my one and only dream!!

well if you DO have a better voice than most people then surely you shouldn't have that much trouble. You won't get an opportunity by sitting at your computer complaining, have you tried to audition for any openings.

and Fusion what the fudge, too many singers? Point me in their direction for the band i'm in urgently needs one, be there an untapped source?

well then give up cos that won't help at all:D

How old are you, 15? 14? you seem quite young.. if you have no confidence then i take it you've never really sang infront of anyone? if that's the case then how do you know you're good?

it gets easier after the first time you sing in front of people. The first time i sang in front of 100 or so people was at a school gig, it's much easier when you have 3 people behind you playing the music for you, it means you are not the absolute centre of attention.

I find it easyier to sing in front of larger audience because theres to many people to guage everybodies reaction. Aslong as half or more of the people liked it you wont noticed the other half whereas if theres only 10 people it will be obvious who didnt realy appriciate your voice.
As for getting a start, join a choir if you realy want to sing. If your good enough Im sure you'll a solo line or 2 before long.
