Can't set up Internet Connection Sharing on Wireless Network

Any help here would be very much appreciated:)

I have a desktop with a wireless card, NIC. I have an ADSL USB modem connecting to the net. I have this connection shared. The ip of the desktop (host) is 192.168.0.2.

I have a dell laptop with wireless card (ip 192.168.0.4). Laptop can communicate with desktop no problem. I have set the default gateway of the laptop as ip of the wireless card in desktop (192.168.0.2).

No problems with the firewall as I have trusted both IP's on either side.

I think then that a connection should appear in "My Network Connections" there is nothing there at all, just the workgroup "Wlan".

I am doing anything wrong, how do I actually surf on the laptop.

I would appreciate any help with this, Thanks in advance
