Acer.co.uk have a list of online sellers. Laptops Direct are the cheapest so far...

Weird prob but more than happy to help

Here is another list of Dell from www.dell.co.uk they dont advertise too much
    1.Dell Store (inc VAT)
2.Rebate Store - look around (ex VAT)

The way it works in Dell.ie is the first one is as normal just laptops and comps brand new.
Option 2 is the rebate store where an order could have been cancelled and returned or was the wrong one or some other reason just see help on the site.

    Nuke

Hahaaha....I contacted LaptopShop regarding costs of delivery to the republic and was quoted £90 (!!) for delivery. For that money I'd be expecting the comp to arrive in a limo, bearing complimentary drinks...

Try acer notebooks direct .co.uk (not sure of url) or ebuyers.com

They are buying in the UK so delivery wasn't a big deal but they wouldn't take his (UK) VAT number because they checked there listings of busniesses and couldn't find his. So he asked what list they use and they wouldn't tell him. So they wouldn't sell him the laptop and wouldn't give him anyway to sort it out. Hardly a way to run a busniess...
