Lidl selling satellite dishes today

Just got a call from a mate to say that Lidl are selling 80CM dishes today for €19.99. I asked him what they were capable of and he said he didn't know but that he saw the name ASTRA on the box. Can anyone elaborate on whether they are the same ones they had on sale last year or a newer better one?

Has anyone bought one of these dishes for €19.99 in Lidl last week? I think there are still some left in some shops. I was wondering if you can pick up hispasat free to air with it and as it supposedly says Astra on the box, then surely Astra channels can be picked up too? Anyone?

both can be picked up but not at the same time as they are in different parts of the sky to put it simply

Yes,even if it saying Astra on the dish,you could pick up other satelittes as well !!

IE:

Astra 19"West:80Cm Dish size,elevation:25
Hispasat 30" West : 80cm Dish size,elevation:26

Nearly sure he said there was an LNB included?
€19.99 seems awfully cheap even for Lidl. Whats the catch? Or is it different to most 80CM dishes?

If it costed €1,000 you would say why is so expensive ?!
If it was FREE,you'll ask why is free ?!

Oh,well the answer is just because is...Lidl !
In Europe,on the continent you buy a sat dish 1.6m in size for a mere €200.In Ireland you expect to pay maybe 5-600,at least...(please,don't ask me why !).

Thanks for the plug. I see zintek are now doing promax gear which is excellent test equipment,I've been using promax for years it really is top notch
