    Redjetson.
Haven't heard much of them, samples on website seem okay.

Everyone is tipping them as band of the year thing, I had one listen to the new album at the weekend, wasn't overly impressed but I won't judge them on that, need to have a few more listens.

I would just like to say I am very very very jealous of anyone who went to see Bloc Party tonight. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

thought they rocked it. their drummer is amazing and they're tight as a nun's whatzit! should be as big as the hype is predicting IMO. crowd were well into it.

Yeah, they were good alright.Heaps better than the last time I saw them when they were still called Angels range or something like that playing over in Camden.Didnt think much of the support tho.The songs were mediocre and the singer was dreadful. Still, Bloc Party are shaping up nicely to meet the hype

Yeah, I thought their live set was really good last night. Dont start all your Flamin' *but* I thought they reminded me of Franz Ferdinand(!) I wouldn't rush out to buy the album, but I'd go and see them again..

The album is out on the web already. They were on Pet Sounds last night, the main guy was asked what kind of music he listened to/was influenced by and he said the main one was Destiny's Child

I thought for a minute he was but then he raved on about RnB being so much more sophisticated than guitar music, i'm not so sure he was.

Well a lot of it is (production-wise anyway). Though with so many artists using the same producers, a lot of stuff getting released sounds ends up using the same ideas, sounding samey and it's harder to find the good stuff (imo).

If you read the interview in today's Irish Times, he mentions Kate Bush, Bjork, Bowie, and David Byrne...

I thought the gig was absolutely amazing!! Had been to the 22-20's the night before & it couldn't even compare...

I've been listening to a download to the BP album - I'm not overly impressed, but live, they were fantastic!! Red Jetson were pretty solid too.
