What would be the best way to get to citywest for 8am from whitehall? I know I can get the 16 into town and then one of the buses out to citywest. I have done this before and it took 1.5 hours. This was at around 10 so what would be the best at 8am? Would the luas be any good?

    HI,

I bus from Ballymun to Citywest everyday.

The Luas is no good, because its not much faster than the buses, and they when you get to the square, you have to wait for a connecting bus anyway.
I belive there is a park'n'ride bus from the red cow roudabout stop to citywest.
It doesnt come close enogh to where i work, so i havent tried that.

For me the best solution is bus to town, and a 50 or 65b to citywest.
50 is quicker in traffic, due to the different route.

    Busses 201 | 202 | 50 | 65B | 77X serve Citywest, but 69 | 69N | 69x serve Rathcolle, which might be handy (taking the 68 to Newcastle will lead you on a merry tour).

I don't think the Bus Éireann busses stop at Citywest.

Does anyone know if the no. 50 bus leaving eden quay at 7.50am would have me at citywest for 9.00am or would I be better of getting the no.65b leaving at 7.35. Also does the 65b or 50 stop outside the smart telecom building? Any ideas what time I would be out there for?
Is there anyone that makes this journey by car that would give me a lift? I would pay them of course.

The 0735 65B is usually at the Square by 0820 (at the very latest) so the latest it would be at CityWest would be 0840.

I presume you're doing some kind of placement in City West. Just ask the people in HR if there's a private bus service to City West from town. Several companies in these badly serviced business parks have had to do their own transport. See it in IFSC, Sandyford. Would expect City West to have similar.
In other companies I've worked in, there is usually no charge to commuter for it. The company will pick up the tab.

Approximately how many people work out in City West now, does anyone know?

My one and only venture on the 69 (beyond Inchicore) to Saggart did actually go thru' Citywest. Problem with it is that it goes on a Merry Tour :( of Clondalkin in the process - so it takes a while and then some...
