    Hi,
if you arrived at Dublin airport and wanted to get straight to the RDS Anglesey road entrance, how would you make the journey?.
Also, how long would the journey take and how much would it be say in a cab?.

Secondly, when leaving the RDS, which is the closest train station by cab?, how long would it take to get there and again how much do you think it would be?. I cant decide between Connolly, Heuston and Pearse, there are a few more as well but i dont know Dublin.

    Thanks for your help

Well there's two direct ways, one is a taxi which will probably cost you about €20-30 but dont really know how long it would take (all depends on time of day and traffic). The other is Aircoach, when you walk out of the arrivals hall in Dublin Airport you should see some blue coaches parked up and that's Aircoach. Cost €7 single and €12 return. It stops right across the road from the RDS and their website (www.aircoach.ie) says the journey should take about an hour. Word of warning, check with the driver where he's going because Aircach operate two routes to Dublin, the one that goes by the RDS and another to Leopardstown but they also go from Dublin Airport to Belfast and Portlaoise and you don't want to get the wrong bus.

Now as for trains, the nearest DART (train) station would be Sandymount. when you come out of the Anglesea Road entrance of the RDS, head right to the traffic lights, turn right again heading along by the RDS main entrance on Merrion Road and continue down to the junction where Bewley's Hotel and the Four Seasons Hotel are. Take a left here and head down Sandymount Road away from both hotels, you should a level crossing just in front of you and the DART station is right there. All in all about a 5-10 min walk. Hop on a DART to Pearse or Tara St or Connolly (Tara St. being the most central). Time to Pearse Stn. about 5-6 mins, Tara St. about another minute after Pearse and Connolly about another 2-3 mins after Tara St. Cost €1.30 Single and €2.35 day return. Be warned every weekend up until about summer 05 DART services only operate to Pearse due to engineering upgrade works, check out www.irishrail.ie for more info.

Hope this is of help to you and if you need to know anything else just let me know

Just to add to that, there is a bus service from the airport to Howth Junction Dart station, Aerdart, www.aerdart.ie ,so you can then connect onto Sandymount as green_onions has suggested.

But Aircoach would be best here.
