hello:can some one help me out please i have a mmds aerial and powering unit for my aerial,i used to be able to pick up tv3,skynews,and one or two more channels.

but my aerial has packed in its the old aerial with the white box on the back of it a thick black cable from aerial nose screws in to the white box at back of aerial and then the tv coax screws in to the white box and down in to my powering unit.

would any one have a mmds lnb nose for my aerial?.as i think there is new type mmds lnb noses out now that do not have the white box at back of the aerial would really appreciate it if someone can help me out thanking you.

    bassy,
are you sure that MMDS analogue is still going in your area? Its possible (without knowing your area) that your aerial is OK but that MMDS analogue has been discontinued where you are.
Chorus MMDS analogue is still going in the Cork area - but it might have been discontinued elsewhere -

Whats the story with NTL anyone - have they discontinued analogue MMDS in some or all of their areas?

ntl's analog service is not in operation anymore.

MMDS from ntl is all digital.

aerial is the same but decoder is different

Your best bet is to look on www.ebay.co.uk or better still www.ebay.com - I've seen a fair share of 2.4GHz downconverters being sold from the US and usually for good prices too, under 30 dollars.

I'm puzzled-why doesnt the cable company provide this for you?
