Laptop Buying Advice Needed

    Hey

I am about to buy a laptop to help me with my Software Engineering course in college. I have about 1100 to spend and was looking at these two laptops but I am not sure which would be more suited to my needs. I wont really be playing games it will just be for college work, internet access and programming mainly. My main concern is the cpu and battery life. I want something fast enough to last me a while (course is 4 years so that would be ideal) and with a decent battery life of 4 or more hours (a friend gets 6 hours out of his which would be great). I'd really appreciate some advice on what to go for as I'm more of a desktop person and dont have much knowledge on laptops

    First Laptop : http://www.jes-computer.de/product_info.php?pID=19325

    Second Laptop: http://www.jes-computer.de/product_info.php?pID=18797

I have been looking on jes.de as these seem to be the best prices going for laptops at the moment so if there are any other laptops on there you think might be more suited to me within my price range then let me know

    Thanks in advance

The first one as its Pentium M Prozessor as they are a good mobile processor and the battery should last longer with it, but if you look around you should be able to find a better deal. Try this acer shipping is expensive tho.
As for jes.de if you do order from them make sure that your not in a hurry as they use GLS and they take FOREVER to deliver

I have ordered from Jes, Overclockers and Komplett so I have plenty of experience with GLS :( yes they suck at times but I have had my orders delivered within a week on about 40% of the time. Longest was 3 weeks but at least it all got here. I'm in no rush for it. The prices seem a little high on the acer site compared to JES when you add in the shipping and everything
