A Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling could force Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini to return to Marseille.

The CAS ruled against Flamini's provisional £336,000 transfer from OM last summer, a move sanctioned by Fifa.

As a general issue rather than specific to this case, is this a good thing for football? Is it a blow struck for the little boys against football's big boys?

Interesting and I wuld imagine leaves open to challenge the result of any matches he has played in.
    This could have serious repercussions(sp)

You could challenge the results of the matches he played in?
    I doubt that.

I assume there will be a little bidding war now for this guy, considering how many people consider him cool :)

If its a marseille choice Arsenal are gona get outbidded.

Why has this happened, I'm confused on two fronts.

    1. Why has it taken so long

    2. Why is could this happen?

This could have a major effect on transfer for all the big clubs in the future and could stop organisations like the one that took Vagner Love from CSKA Moscow .(MIS or something)

Interesting I wonder did he admit to having the verbal agreement , failing that its difficult to see how it can be proven. I think he'll stay with the Gunners but he may cost them some money.
