White mist on Photo? Any ideas?

    :confused: Hi folks,

    On Christmas day, I was staying at my sisters house - all morning the kitchen lights were switching on and off - we thought it was the fuse. The fuse was changed but still the lights kept flickering on and off. Being who I am I guessed it was my mother who had passed as she used to make her presence known in another house - in which she later confirmed it was actually her through a medium.

    What is weird is this time is - there was a picture taken of me and my two sisters under the lights and when they were developed - all pictures were perfect but this certain one had what looks like lots of clouds of white mist - there are shapes of people above our heads with misty clouds all around us strectching from the ground to the ceiling.

    I have heard and seen (on tv) orbs - but this is completey different. I havent got access to a scanner so therefore cannot put up on board. Has anyone out there seen this before or any ideas on how to explain this?

    Without seeing the photo, no comment can be made on what it was.
    It could be anything from a mote of dust getting onto the film and preventing exposure on that part of the photo to extra terrestrials.
    I'm being a slight bit hyperbolic with the second point but.... you get what I mean.

    I think the same, its nearly impossible to guess without seeing the photo, but you have to rule out the obvious (dust, overexposure, steam, smoke, fog on the lens etc) before getting into anything paranormal. From what youve said, your mum seems to want to stick around, so who knows, but if I were you I would go with the solution that you feel happiest with, dont dwell on it, and live your life happy in the knowledge that your mum is ok.

    I agree with KatieK. If your mom likes to make her presence known to you guys, then you have the comfort in knowing that she's there in spirit.

    I think that's amazing to know that she's still there with you.

    heres a wild thought: heat causes photos to degrade. more specifically, they get whiter. should somehow a focused area experience electrical activity it could be expected that such could cause instances such as you describe.

    thats the best I can think of, then again I'm not adept in paranormal
