FETAC - Further Education and Training Awards Council.
They are an awarding body who award certificates for different educational courses.
A lot of FÁS, Teagsc, BIM, Fáilte and VEC Adult Education courses are FETAC accredited.
It's just the body that awards the cert for the particular course you're doing.

A post leaving certificate course uses FETAC

There are different levels 1,2,3. Try do fetac level 3 if you intend on going onto a university or college afterwards, thats what they are mainly used for a stepping stone into college, they use a points system similar to the leaving cert.
